Thank you for visiting my website. Here you can read about my journey with Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN) — a rare and life-threatening reaction to medication. In 2012, within just a few days, more than 65% of my skin detached.
I survived. But survival was only the beginning.
The journey from the moment my illness began to the moment I was finally able to put my experiences into words took 10 years.
And so: Ten Years of TEN!
What started as a personal journey of survival became a journey of understanding, healing and sharing my story with others.
My story is now available in Dutch, Swedish and English with the publication of An Inner Tornado – My Battle with Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis published on September 10th, 2026.
